I'm trying. Now as soon as iTunes decides to work again, I will get on with it.

There we are.
Now. Looking at the comments I got from the digital cultures email, it highlighted my obvious timelessness with these. It also said about writing about video games, and technology from a consumer standpoint.
Now. Had I of known that, this may look slightly less naked.
I love videogames. I play all the newest, best and worst games. I pretty much buy a new one every week. Reviewing games is what I want to do, and so this looks set to change some stuff.
Bioshock, to me, was a benchmark in what games should be. The story was compelling, the visuals were stunning, and the mechanics were brilliant. It didn't ever need to have multiplayer. I played Bioshock more that I did Call of Duty 4 (Online and offline).
When I heard of the sequel, I had a girly fit. Literally; jumping, shaking, going "ooo doot doot!" Release date, one of my friend's birthdate. Whoops, they didn't get a text.. Also, incidentally, a tuesday.. (sorry Digital Cultures, Bioshock 2 wins.)
Now. Looking at it, graphically, nothing improved. In fact, I was surprised to see it got worse. Oh well, maybe saving room for a bigger campaign, NO!
Wednesday, it was done. The story wasn't terrible, but could have been infinitely better. Early gameplay and trailers showed that the Big sister character was to follow you, surprise attacks were to be frequent, and she was supposed to be BAD ass. And nothing, Attacks at the end of the level was all. It was like a damned super Mario boss. That was ruined. The animations were choppy, and the whole thing was under-polished. Looked like a Beta.
As a younger person, I love new. Multiplayer is relatively new, and of course Bioshock 2 is new. Together, sounds great! In reality, its awful. It lags, its clunky, you get kicked from nowhere. In short, Multiplayer should have been axed to create what could have been a much better, LONGER, single player.
Things like that make me sad. You know?
Anyways I have trees to be climbing. Peace.
